All in All
Not so bad. Scalegod this morning said 181.0. Up 0.2 from last week, but last week's 4 pound loss was too good to be true anyways. (Or NEWAZ, in Eliza talk. What is IM doing to our children?!)
So, in two weeks I lost 3.8 pounds. Not too shabby!
I earned more activity points last week than I usually do. Good thing, since I'll be earning less this week. With the Thanksgiving holiday stuff going on, and Curves closing early today and Friday.
I might still try to make it on Friday. And though I wasn't able to make it today, I'll probably get up and do my step tape tomorrow -- cuz those extra points will come in mighty handy, come pie time, y'know?
I also used more FlexPoints last week than I usually, do. My eldest, Alyson, was in town for a couple of days -- she and her BF are spending the holidays with his family in NY, but we got a couple of days with her beforehand. And last night we went out to eat at one of her favorite places -- Hamburger Hamlet. I should have known we would end up there. And I should have known that we'd end up with the spinach and artichoke dip, too. I should have looked it up before I went so I knew how many points I was eating. But I didn't. So I just limited the amount I ate, and kept track of it in my head, and looked it up when I got home. For general purposes, 6 tortilla chips are 3 points, a 0.25 C of spinach dip is 5 points. That was 8 more points than I intended to use. Oh well. No regrets.
On the down side, I woke up this morning with Scott's cold. My throat is very sore and I sound like Harvey Fierstein. Oh yeah, I'm a babe magnet . . .
But I've formulated my game plan, ala Lee. I won't use any FlexPoints today. Which, since I'm not making it to Curves, means no hamburger happy meal tonight. Blast. And tomorrow, I'm going to do my step tape, so that's an extra 6 points.
We're planning on an early dinner, so I'll just snack between breakfast and dinner. I don't usually give all the gory details of my daily consumption, but here's my rough calculations for tomorrow:
- Rough calculations -
cereal & milk = 3.5 points
laughing cow & pretzels = 2 points
smartpop = 2 points
Ruffles baked cheddar & sour cream potato chips, 18 = 4 points
lots of raw veggies = 0 points
cooked turkey breast, 2 slices = 4 points
mashed potatos, .5 C = 2 points
.25 C gravy = 2 points
cranberry orange relish = .5 C = 5 points
stuffing, .5 C = 4 points
2 dinner rolls = 4 points
1 serving Mrs. Smith's pumpkin custard pie (w/lite whipped cream) = 6 points
1 serving my chocolate pudding pie (w/lite whipped cream) = 5 points
total = 43.5 points for the day
minus 30 (my 24 target + 6 activity points)
has me using 13.5 FlexPoints tomorrow
And that leaves me 21.5 FlexPoints for the next 5 days.
I will, of course, consume lots of water throughout, and I'm going to wear my almost-but-not-quite-comfortable jeans as a physical reminder of how thankful I am to be 31.5 pounds lighter this Thanksgiving than I was last Thanksgiving.
All in all, very doable.
So here's wishing me luck and wishing YOU a Happy Thanksgiving!!!
